By definition, orthognathic surgery is a surgery to create straight jaws. Our surgeon usually recommends this type of procedure if your occlusion is way out of balance or if you have aesthetic concerns.
We carry out this treatment with our orthodontist and dental braces to give you the smile you deserve. Simple procedures like osteotomy can change the way your teeth come in contact and improve your occlusions as well as correct any aesthetic concerns that you might have.
Dr. Adnan also has a subspeciality in craniofacial surgery which is conditions that affect hard, soft tissues in the face and head. Here are some of the treatments that he carries out with our dentists
All of the conditions listed above develop in children who are under the age of 2. There are numerous treatment options which include neurosurgery and maxillofacial reconstructions all of which Dr. Adnan and his team of doctors treat.
If you have an impacted wisdom tooth or a decayed one or a tooth that has gone through a failed root canal treatment, we can set up an appointment for you with Dr. Adnan.
Dr. Adnan has a track record in the following procedures
Dr. Adnan is committed to staying up to date with new modern, cutting edge technology and education for dentistry and is considered as a pioneer in the field of dental surgery. Because of his achievements he was recently awarded an honorary fellowship by the royal college of surgeons in Edinburgh.
Since Dr. Adnan has been practicing solely MaxilloFacial surgery, he has also contributed a lot of ideas to instrument manufacturers and has come up with a few new instruments that are still helping surgeons today in Pakistan.
Moreover, over his tenure in surgery, he has done a lot of dental implants. He was also one of the very few Maxillofacial Surgeons in Islamabad to promote dental implants, specifically by Biohorizon which is still considered one of the very best implants to date.
"I am proud of myself for maintaining the highest standards of dental care in Islamabad and as a matter of fact in Pakistan. With emerging diseases, conditions and dental treatment, I have to keep up with my dental education regardless of the degrees that I've achieved in the past 19 years or so.
Recently I was awarded an honorary fellowship by the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh for my continuing contribution and performance in the field of MaxilloFacial surgery, a fellowship that a few surgeons have had the honor to receive. Sure I can tell you that it's a very fancy degree but for me, it symbolizes something else, it's a symbol of my commitment, passion, and compassion for my patients and my field.
For my FCPS training I've completed 700 hours of dental education, which is equivalent to almost 5 years of hands-on training, surgical procedures on patients that other surgeons have denied treatment because of the diseases complexity, written exams and practicals which has shaped me into the MaxilloFacial surgeon I am today.
After completing my FCPS I continued my academic journey at Islamic International Dental Hospital in Islamabad where I was appointed as a senior registrar from 2005 to 2007. From 2007 to 2013 I was appointed as an Assistant professor and head of the Department of Oral Surgery in the same facility and I used to teach a batch of 80+ students 5 days a week. From 2014 onwards I joined Margalla Institute of Health Islamabad and Sciences as an Associate Professor and as the head of the Department of Oral Surgery.
I've been practicing Oral Surgery and dentistry in Islamabad since 2001. Over the years I have learned that treating a patient with kindness and honesty goes a long way and I develop a relationship with my patients which makes them feel calm and right at home. I also believe in the right staff which is why it's an absolute pleasure to work at Z Dental Studio.
Over the course of 20 odd years, I've treated almost 5500+ patients, these treatments ranged from simple extractions to more complex cases such as cancer and head and neck trauma patients."
